Card Readers

The XMP card readers are used in access control, time recording and accounting in combination with the management system XMP-BABYLON. They are characterized by proven technology, usability and ease of maintenance. Numerous RFID technologies are available.

  • XMP–TMC30xx is our new series of square card readers with customizable LED frame.
  • XMP-TMC23xx square card readers are available with various reader technologies for different fields of application.
  • XMP–TMC24xx square card readers are also available in different variants, such as flush-mounted card readers or in combination with Behnke or Siedle housings.
  • XMP-TMC22xx card readers have been specially designed for door frames.
  • XMP-LRU-3xxx long range readers offer an extended reading range, they are suitable e.g. for use in particularly disturbed and metallic environments.


TMC30xx TMC30xx

RFID Card Readers XMP-TMC3050 and XMP-TMC3060 are designed for use in XMP-BABYLON access control applications.

TMC36xx Fingerprint

XMP-TMC36xx-FP terminals have been designed for biometric access control. They are equipped with optical fingerprint sensor.

For security reasons all templates (fingerprints) are stored in the XMP-K32EX (host) in the secured area. After a request, for example after an identification booking or after input of a personal pin code, the current fingerscan will be send coded to the door control unit and will be compared with the current fingerprint.

TMC36xx Palm Vein

XMP-TMC36xx-PV readers with palm vein authentication technology are particularly suitable for high security areas.

An individual's identity can be verified by recognizing the pattern of blood veins in the palm with near-infrared rays.

XMP-EL knob modules are battery-operated locking units with universal application options, which are fully integrated into XMP-BABYLON as stand-alone or online/wireless solutions. ELock license for system dongle XMP-NT-270 is required.

  • The address settings of the relay board are configured by jumpers (KDR0 to KDR2).

XMP-RIM

Card Readers using Wiegand® or RS-485 protocol can be connected to Door Control Units via XMP-RIM module.


The XMP-RIM module detects different protocol types automatically without particular configuration. The module provides access control via supervised inputs and relay outputs by sending the access card data to a door controller. The controller checks the validity of the access card. If the appropriate permissions have been assigned, the controller sends a message back to the XMP-RIM module ín order to unlock the door and provide access.
